Lush 2015 Christmas Haul

After much delay, and with a little over a week left until Christmas Day, I thought it was about time I shifted my backside and posted the partial Lush haul that I've managed to collect over the last month or two. It has taken time, as it is quite a stash and isn't exactly cheap, but I've managed to get the ones that I wanted to try this year. So, let me dive straight into it and show you some of the collection that's available to buy until the end of December. I apologise for the bad set-up for these photos - I didn't have anywhere suitable to take them so I just took photos of the products in their boxes!

My Apologies.

I know this isn't the first post of this kind from me, but you can already guess what it is about from the title. I posted a little while ago saying that I was sorry that I hadn't posted much, and that I was planning my next couple of posts. Yet, I still haven't posted anything. I did mean every word that I posted last time, and I had every intention to blog more. But life being what it is, more shit hit the fan to be honest. Thought I'd hit a rock-bottom phase, but I actually had further to fall than that. This isn't a post for sympathy, I just feel like my readers (or occasional visitors, hello!) deserve an explanation. Basically, I'm not entirely happy with my home situation but it's personal and to do with other people so I won't go into detail with that. But when I'm at home I just have no motivation to do anything whatsoever, which hinders my blogging as I would do this when I'm at home. Then my long-term relationship ended which has obviously taken it's toll on me. Again, this is more complicated than it just ended, there's a lot more to it than that but I won't dive into that as I don't really want to write it in black and white. Then to top everything off, my car died. So that was fun. Buying a new car immediately when you haven't been paid by work is a little bit of a struggle and extremely stressful. Especially when you need said car to get to work in order to earn more money, aha. I've had a couple of health issues as well, and my mental health hasn't really been the best either.

So there you have it, cutting an extremely draining and long story short, that's my explanation as to why I haven't posted in something like two months. But as you can tell, I needed the break and I think if I had posted anything whilst all of this was happening, my writing would have reflected that. And that's not the kind of vibe I want to pass on to other people. I have missed blogging, and even though I have a small audience, I am grateful for everyone who's still been reading and checking in on the blog whilst I've been absent. I will try my best to make it up to you all one day, perhaps with a giveaway in the future? What do you think? I won't make any solid promises to post extremely regularly (I know this is a pain and makes my image look bad) because some of the aforementioned problems and situations are still going on and/or are still their effects on me, so some days are good and others are really bad and I just don't want to communicate with anybody.

But my aims to myself and to you guys is to try to blog more now that I'm trying to get myself back up, as it will be a welcome distraction and I do enjoy writing. I'm also going to try and throw myself into work a little bit more, as I haven't really had my head in the game there either recently. This will hopefully lift my mood, as I love the people that I work with and I'm around animals all the time, so it's a win-win situation. I've also been hanging out with my friends a lot more too, as I've missed them phenomenal amounts as over the years I've been committed to other things and I hate myself for neglecting them so much. So there may be some more personal posts coming up from our little adventures - if they'll allow it and I remember to take pictures! I'm also aiming to go to America around the April-May time slot for about a month, so that should be really fun and will be interesting to document.

Again, thank you guys so much for reading - or even glimpsing - at my blog whilst I've been a ghost, it does really mean a lot to me. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Nip+Fab Kale Fix Moisturiser.

As I promised, I am back with a post as my marble props arrived, woohoo! They're all a little bit smaller than I was hoping for, but oh well, I love them all the same. If you've read some of my other skincare related posts, you might have picked up on the fact that I have a tough time with dry skin. Whatever that reason may be for my problem dryness, I try out a lot of different moisturisers in my pursuit to find one that completely tackles my dry patches. So it's no surprise that I picked up this particular new moisturiser from Nip+Fab's new Kale Fix range. Having used some of the N+F range before, I was already aware that they are of a great quality so I was holding a candle for these to live up to my expectations. So I began my new little journey of using this new-found beauty.

Zoella Tutti-Fruity Range.

As a lot of people will have seen by now, Zoella (aka Zoe Sugg) has brought out another collection of beauty products that follow on from her original line of products, although this time, they have a different kind of feel to them. They're tutti-fruity scented and they have brighter colours on the packaging. This range captured my interest more due to the more fruity scents and as it's been out for a while already, I thought I'd get my hands on some and finally check it out. I only purchased a few items out of the range to try out initially, so let me talk to you about what I got.

Lush Haul ft Kitchen Exclusives (September '15)

In this haul, I've been dreaming of all kinds of monsters, mixed with aliens, who have the scents of lemon and grapefruit, and also thinking of super tramps... Wait, what? Super tramps? Aliens and monsters? You might be wondering whether I've lost my mind or whether I've been taking something, but let me assure you I haven't been doing the latter - the first one I do wonder about myself a lot. My beauty product addiction has fought my willpower and won once again. Let me elaborate to you about my strange little dream.

Lee Stafford 'Fix It' Hair Care.

I'm back, and I'm back with some awesome products to show you. As I mentioned a little while ago now, I've been trying to go cruelty-free with my beauty products as much as I can. When it came to shampoo and conditioner, I was still rather stocked up on stuff that wasn't CF but I also didn't want to waste it, so up until a couple of weeks ago I didn't have an excuse to buy any more products. Until my conditioner and hair mask ran out - yes! And I think I may have stumbled across something that is right up my street when it comes to looking after damaged, dry and dyed hair. Does this sound a little like you? If that's just caught your attention, let me explain a little more to you about this dynamic duo.

Lush Oxford Street Haul

In my previous post, I explained my trip to Oxford Street and for anyone who's been reading my blog for a while, you'd have guessed that I was obviously going to go into the new Lush store they have there. After months of reading excited Lush fan's reviews on their exclusive products and seeing pictures and just generally being caught up in the excitement, I just had to go in myself and share a piece of the magic. And trust me when I say that it feels like magic in there. I was in my element. I was so excited that unfortunately I didn't remember to take any photos inside the actual shop to show you, but I'm sure a quick search on Google can show you the inside. It's three stories high, but from the outside it only looks like a ground level and an upstairs level, but what you can't see is the underground layer that houses their Lush spa, massage bars and their perfume collection. As the store is currently the largest out of all the Lush stores, they have the space to hold over 200 exclusive products in that one store, whilst also holding some well-loved and very familiar products that are available to stores worldwide. I could waffle all day, it was honestly like Christmas...

Day Trip To London

I mentioned a little while ago that I was going to be taking a day trip to London and to just have a little wander around and see what was there. I took a few photos that day, so this post is going to be rather photo-orientated in comparison to my other posts. My friend Anjela and myself decided to check out Oxford Street and have a look around there (I wanted to go to the new Lush store!) and just have a relaxing day out. Be prepared for some quite standard tourist-esque pictures! I also apologise in advance for the noisy pictures - it's been a while since I took my camera out and about around other people and I panicked a little.

The Body Shop Haul

This post is going to be more of a photo post to show you what I got and give you a list of the stuff and prices, instead of explaining everything as a review. Because I'll probably do a review for some of the items anyway once I've been using them for a little while. It's fair to say, I went a little crazy lately on The Body Shop's website, buuut they had a sale on, so how can you say no to 40% off and a free gift, and then 30% off the next week? Let me dive right in and tell you lovely people what I purchased.

Fudge Urban Iced Tropical Cocktail Miracle Ends

It's time to introduce you to one of my ultimate hair care products that I've been trying and loving lately. Yes, the name is a bit of a mouthful, but the product benefits make up for the sentence it has as a name. It has been helping my hair a phenomenal amount, and it also smells incredible and definitely grants you major hair-swishing sessions.

The Body Shop Hemp Face Protector

I have been on the hunt for a moisturiser for a long time now that actually does what it says on the tin. Okay, so it's not technically in a tin, but you get my drift. We all want what we pay for, but for so long now I've been buying products and having high expectations for them, and yet they fall flat. Which leaves my skin still dry, my hopes dashed a little, and my bank account looking a bit slimmer. I was giving up hope and just thought I'd go through life with dry skin, however, that changed when I stumbled across this little gem.

BarryM Nail Varnishes

I finally jumped on the bandwagon and got myself some BarryM nail varnishes. Yes, I know I'm extremely late into it, but I've only really just ventured out of my shell and into the beauty world, haha. I don't get much chance to wear nail varnish as I work with animals, but because I don't have any nail varnishes, I thought I better get some so the chance is actually there. I love the two choices that I got...

Cruelty-free & Vegan Brands.

After many hours of researching (and many more to come), here's a what-I-hope-is-helpful post about companies that are cruelty-free, certified and vegan. I haven't added every single brand that exists, as I'm honestly not that patient and it would be an extremely long list, but I'll add some useful links that you can use to see even more than the list that I've put together. I haven't been posting for a little while, and I do apologize profusely for this to my followers - thank you for sticking around and bearing with me! Even though my blog's been going for a few months now, I'm still quite new to this. I haven't been posting because I feel like a massive hypocrite. Let me explain why...

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation

It's been featured on a lot of blogger's pages, as well as on YouTube by many different people, so I thought I'd try it out since it's been spoken about so much. There's only so long you can go without purchasing something people are continuously talking about. So I caved in and brought myself some of the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation. I've been using it for a couple of week now, so I can give you an actual review of how I feel about the product. Without further rambling, let me get straight to it!

Opinions on; Kylie Jenner.

Everyone knows who she is, particularly if you spend a lot of time on the Internet. She's a star that is just going to keep rising to the top, regardless of what she does. Due to her actions, looks, and famous Kardashian/Jenner family, it's no surprise that speculations and rumours surround this girl. There are a lot of mixed opinions on Miss Jenner out there, regarding her appearance, her relationships, her lifestyle, her family... But mine isn't a negative one. In fact, it's quite the opposite. Let me explain.

The Body Shop Haul/Review

I am back, and it's even better because I'm back with some stuff from The Body Shop! I'm sorry for the lack of posts, there's been personal things going on at home, and I just lost the motivation to post. But I'm back with some lovely beauty gloops to show you and to give my opinion on. As I've been away, I've had time to try these products, so I can safely give you my 100% honest opinion. I was doing a bit of a Blog Challenge when I first posted this, however, I decided to do away with the challenge. But I wanted to leave this in, as I'm an avid reader and I thought it would be nice to do something a little bit different to beauty products (and it breaks the blog up rather nicely and lets me gush a little about my favourite books!).

Sunday Summary Week 7 & 8.

1 - Had a chameleon climb on my head (not that you can see very well).
2 - Went bowling with my mum and brother for his 13th birthday - I won hehe.
3 - Had a strawberry lemonade.
4 - The boyfriend had a gigantic burger - double burger, cheese, bacon, onion rings, salad and bbq beans in one.
1 - Took a selfie that I liked.
2 - Goodbye BMW (sob) and hello new car.
3 - Can't get over how cute this leopard gecko couple are cuddled up together.

I haven't been posting much, so I apologise about this to everyone. I've just really not had a busy fortnight and because of that, I haven't been very motivated. I'm sorry. I know I didn't post a weekly want either, but in all honesty... I brought what I wanted, so there will be a post soon about that (hint, it's stuff from The Body Shop) soon. I haven't been working much either really, only the odd day here and there, hence the lack of animal photos. All I've really been doing is just playing Pokemon, watching my favourite bloggers on YouTube and reading their blogs, and just drinking tea. Yeah, it's been absolutely thrilling. I did go see my best friend Isla during these two weeks, which was good as we don't see each other as much as we used to due to jobs and grown up stuff, but it was good to catch up nonetheless. I also went for a meal with Danny, where he had the most filled burger I have ever seen, and safe to say he demolished it.

Ooh, whilst I remember it, I have been loving the app Depop lately. I've brought quite a few things off there lately, including two items of clothing from Amy Valentine which was exciting and she was lovely throughout the whole process. I'll have to take some good photos and get them uploaded and show you my purchases I've received. I've also brought a few old and rare Drop Dead t-shirts from there, the most expensive being... £12? You can get clothes on there for a bargain, so I definitely recommend it! I warn you that it is very addictive once you start searching though!

Have you had a good two weeks?

Mascara; Tips To Making It Go Further.

Unfortunately, this isn't my pretty eye. Credits to Pinterest and whoever's eye this is, it's lovely.
It's something that a lot of girls think they already have nailed and have been doing the same mascara-related things since they first discovered they could put all kinds of goo on their face. Yes, I'll admit that I'm part of this. Until I stumbled across multiple tips the other day and I realised just how much I could improve my mascara routine and my mascara itself. I thought it was very simple and I could just wiggle the mascara wand over my eyelashes and be done in second, then just keep using it until it ran out and I'd get a new one...Very wrong! Let me share some helpful hints I've found that could make a massive difference to your techniques, and could take your lashes to the next level!

Weekly Wants; Galaxy Ox Converses.

How on Earth could somebody not like these?! They are frickin' insane, and I am in love. As you've probably already guessed by looking through my blog, I have confessed I am a little obsessed with galaxy/nebula print things, I'd even go as far as to paint my whole bedroom to look like a galaxy if I could afford the wallpaper or had the patience to paint it by hand. I've also been a big lover for Converses ever since my 13 year old self discovered them, like most other people. Surprisingly, I forgot about these for a couple of months (they were on my Christmas list but were sold out at the time) and literally as I was about to write this about something else completely, the lightbulb lit up in my head, I went 'OOH!' outloud, and tada, I found them. I'm definitely going to save up and buy these, I need them in my life. I'm drooling even looking at them. Ugh.

You can get them from Schuh by clicking here. They are currently being sold for £50. The images are also from Schuh.com so credits go to them.

What are your opinions on these Converses? Do you love them, or hate them?

Helpful Hangover Aids.

Today I got distracted by the website Not On The Highstreet. I've heard good things about it and have been meaning to check it out, but only just got round to if, after years of knowing about it. Then I stumbled across these little items that I thought looked just fantastic and thought I'd share them with you. A lot of us have been there, done that, got the embarrassing memories, and will most likely go and do it again... The infamous one-way-too-many drinks kind of drunk as skunks nights, with the next day (and sometimes even the day after that) nursing a killer hangover. You know the ones I'm on about, holding your head, not daring to roll over in fear of throwing up, vowing you'll never drink again hangovers. This is why I've took the time to share some items I've found with you which might help your sorry drunken backside when you wake up the next day. You're welcome ;)

Lately I've been scrolling through Pinterest and lusting over monochrome bedrooms. I'm completely in love with them and they just look so clean and crisp. Sunday Summary Week 6.

1 - My pokemon sweatshirt from OASAP arrived!
2 - Got a new gorgeous gecko at work. I love hum already.
3 - Posted an Easter Lush haul here.
4 - Signed up to Birchbox and got my first box come through.

This week hasn't been too spectacular in all honesty. The family drama from last week has continued onto this week and quite frankly it's getting way too over the top now and I just want to move out. I would just like to be in my own space, away from all of the drama, and not be living with my mum's boyfriend who makes empty threats towards everyone behind their back. There's not a word polite enough for him or suitable enough either. Besides all of this, I've been at work a few odd days which all went okay. I saw one of my best friends, Annie, last night as she goes to America for 6 weeks so I saw her before she goes. We grabbed a chinese for her, my boyfriend and myself and just had a good catch up. Besides that, my OASAP order came and so did my Birchbox box, but nothing else interesting really happened. I'm hoping that because I'm only working four days in total in the next two weeks that I'll be able to come up with some more post ideas, so hopefully I'll be more active and post some more interesting things.

Have you guys had a good week?

Easter Lush Haul.

Yet again, I have been roped into buying more Lush products as they recently released their Easter range. Damn it! I'm happy, but my bank balance is getting quite annoyed so I'll probably refrain for a little while after this haul. Some die-hard Lushies will notice that I haven't got some of the more classic products like the Immaculate Eggception bath bombs or the Bunch of Carrots bubble bars... That's because I did have to limit myself to some products, and I'm also quite tight-fisted with money so there was no way I was paying almost £7 for a bath bomb. Nope. No more waffling, here's what I got. You can click on the headings to go directly to the Lush website to read more;

Weekly Wants; Nip & Fab.

I admit it is a little bit of a strange 'want' to show that I've had my eye on this week, but if you've paid any attention at all to some of my past posts, I'm quite into trying new gloops. Gloops being any kind of goo or gunk that I can put on my face, body or hair. So tada, more gloop that I am eyeing up.

Sunday Summary Week 5.

1 - Went and saw 50 Shades of Grey with the boyfriend.
2 - Had a day down the seafront with Isla.
3 - Took my brother to a sealife centre... Looks like he belongs on a poster to advertise it!
4 - My little green beast is gone!

I am late posting this summary, yet again, but towards the end of the week everything's just been up in the air and there's been drama everywhere I look. I started off the week fine, work was going great and there were no problems with that. Then on Friday, Danny and I went to see 50 Shades of Grey... I obviously knew what the film was about as I've read the books, but I was highly disappointed with the film. It seemed very snappy, one scene to the next almost, without any explanation or anything. And it didn't live up to the hype at all. I wouldn't recommend. But anyway, I'm sure I'll go into a review for that in a different post! Then on Saturday, I had to go have my toe looked at (not pretty, ew) and as we were near Hunstanton, we thought we'd make a day of it, so we went to the beach and went to the re-opened sealife centre. It was great and I've got so many pictures and videos it's ridiculous. Then lastly, Sunday night (hence why I didn't post yesterday!) Danny and I went on a little road trip to Norwich to swap my little green car for something else. Now I'm stuck on whether I want to keep the new car or sell it like I first intended, as I already have a BMW I'm driving...

As for drama, yikes. I won't go into too much detail but there's been family drama, my mum and her boyfriend have been arguing all over the weekend, and he's currently got his bags packed to leave. He won't though. It's a very long and tedious story to go into, but basically he doesn't treat my mum right and he's always lying to her and causing her more stress than she needs, but she refuses to let him go... Even though it would be best to. So I've been trying to distract my brother so he doesn't take too much of the argument in and so it doesn't effect him. Harder than it looks when you're working! Just hope they do the right thing for everyone. But they won't.

Enough of my rambling! Have you had a good weekend?

Sleep Well, Little Zag.

Yesterday was a bit of a hard day for me, as the little fella pictured above passed away. This is a little bit of a sad post but I just wanted to share it. As I work with animals, death is a guaranteed part of the job and everyone will have to deal with it at some point in my work place, but even though we expect it, it doesn't mean it makes it any easier to bear once it happens. We all build a bond with the animals we work with, even if we don't notice that we have. For a little under a year now, I've been looking after this little guy, as he had some trouble with his back legs which resulted in him not being able to use them to walk. He was an old-timer - reaching an impressive age of 21 years old - but he kept fighting through. Unfortunately, it took it's toll on him. There were other health problems involved but I don't want to ramble on and bore you, in case you're not interested in animals haha. But regardless, I just wanted to put a little memory post up for this little guy, I loved him to pieces and it was devastating to see him go. He had such a lovely temperament and wouldn't have hurt anyone. I miss him already.

Rest in peace, little Zag, sleep well... and goodnight.

Sunday Summary; Week 3 & 4.

New blog design, malteasers, geckos, budgies and healthiness.

1 - New monochrome blog design!
2 - Was given some Malteasers for helping with work experience students at work.
3 - Casual photo of Zag the leopard gecko.
4 - Caught one of the geckos winking.
5 - Felt healthy with tea and fruit.
6 - I pull all the birds...I mean budgies.

I did apologise a couple of posts ago for not doing a Sunday Summary last week. This was because I've had quite a boring fortnight, so I thought I'd post them both together. I've basically just been covering for someone at work, so I've been working 5 days a week and besides working, I haven't done anything besides sit in the house, browse the internet, and waste my life away watching TV programs. Sigh. I did have a few other photos, but none of them were really relevant to anything so I'll go with these as they make my life look more interesting haha! I have been feeling quite stressed with family dramas this week, and I've generally just been feeling crappy and suffering bad health. It's nothing serious and probably just stress and illness combined, I'll be over it soon with any luck. So for now, I'm sat drinking a hot cup of cranberry green tea and listening to one of my birds hitting the high notes and chirping away like mad.

Hope you've all had a good week! Did you get up to much?

L'Oreal Elvive Fibrology.

L'Oreal Elvive Fibrology Thickening Shampoo 400ml £3.99.

L'Oreal Elvive Fibrology Thickening Booster 30ml £5.99.

L'Oreal Elvive Fibrology Thickness Creation Double Creation 2x15ml £6.99.
As I've been accumulating quite a lot of different hair products lately, I thought it was only appropriate to share some of the latest stuff I've been trying with you. I probably should have brought the conditioner to go with these, and the hair masque as well so I have the whole collection, but I was tempted by other things. My bad. I brought these from Boots, and you can click here to view their Fibrology range online. When I brought these in store, they had a 3 for £10 offer on different L'Oreal Elvive products, so I actually got the thickness booster and the thickness creation and an intensive repair hair masque (not shown) for £10, so I saved quite a bit of money. I don't know if this offer is still on in store, but they do currently have some price drops online.

I won't go into massive details for each product, as they're pretty self-explanatory, and you should be able to read what they say on the bottles. The shampoo to start off with really does leave my hair feeling thicker, even straight after I've rinsed it out. Obviously it would work better if I had the conditioner to use afterwards as well, but I am currently using the L'Oreal Elvive Triple Resist Reinforcing Conditioner (click here) as I like to mix things up a bit. It contains filloxane, which penetrates deep within the hair and this helps to expand the diameter of each individual hair, giving it a thicker look. This ingredient stays in the hair for a long period of time, so it keeps hair looking thicker for quite a while.

The thickening booster serum is a little weird for me, in all honesty. I haven't yet decided if I'd buy it again and let me explain why. It says that you're supposed to use the same amount of this serum of conditioner that you intend to use, but both at the same time. I don't do this. This is because I'm just so tight-fisted with money, so I use it like it's sacred. This said, I do use enough to cover all my hair with it, but there just isn't a lot of product for your money I don't feel. However, I have noticed that using this has helped my hair look and feel thicker, so it's doing its job and I can't complain too much. It also has a really clean, pleasant smell to it that remains on my hair even after I've used it. This is intended to be used at the same time as your conditioner, so you put this on first, then put your conditioner on as usual without rinsing the thickening booster out beforehand.

After I've rinsed out the booster and my conditioner, I then apply the hair masque that I have, blah blah blah. You get the drill. Leave it a little while, rinse out after 5-10 minutes, get out, dry myself, do whatever else.

After I've let my hair dry a little bit so it's damp and not soaking anything around me, I'll then apply some of the thickness creation double serum. As you can see on the bottle/box, the pink liquid is what thickens the hairs, and the white liquid works with it to smooth out the surface of your hair, which is an added bonus. The pump on top of the bottle ensures that you get an equal pump of both liquids at the same time. All I do is mix it together by rubbing my hands together to spread the serum about, then I apply it all over my hair by gently rubbing my hair so that it gets all my hair. This serum is one that you can apply to damp or dry hair, and it's recommended to be used daily to help ensure your hair looks thicker and smoother.

As a side note, all of these products say that they contain filloxane, like I mentioned. Although, I've looked at the list of ingredients and I can't see it stated... Am I just being blind or is it a shortened version of the ingredients?

Have you tried these products? If so, what did you think?

It's no secret that there's a lot of people that are currently into wearing chokers, or wearing stones/crystals that have been put into jewellery. A lot of people believe and swear by the healing qualities and energies of these stones, although I have never experienced these (probably because I don't actually own any) so I'm quite willing to try them. Even if they don't work for me, they're pretty too so it's a win situation regardless. All of the above images are currently strong contenders to be the first one I purchase. But I don't need to explain how gorgeous they are, just look at them!

I recently stumbled across a new jewellery website through Instagram, called Dreamer Jewellery. Fair to say, I have fallen in love with all of their stuff. Click on their name to go see for yourselves, They're affordable, have great quality looking products, and I genuinely aim to buy something from them at some point in the very near future!

What do you think? Are you into the stone/crystal jewellery craze?

You Can Run But You'll Never Escape

I haven't posted a Sunday Summary yet, I am sorry to the readers that I have, but I didn't really do a lot last week so I'm going to merge both weeks together. I'm currently picking up some cover work, so more days at work for me, therefore less to really write about as I'm sure you don't want to know all the nitty-gritty details of my days haha.

I wanted to share some music with you, as I haven't done it yet. I've been listening to two of my favourite albums from quite a while ago lately, and they've definitely been the only thing I've been listening to. The first is the album Homesick by A Day To Remember. I saw these guys live a few years ago, and they were amazing. If you're into heavier-rock pop/punk music with a dash of screamo, these guys are amazing. They're not heavy in my opinion, but it just depends on how you'd class it.

The second is the album Sempiternal by Bring Me The Horizon. I fell in love with this album as soon as I first heard it when it was released. I hadn't listened to any of their music for a while, but oh, how I have missed it. I don't know exactly what it is about this album, but I'm in love with it. It's particularly good to drive to. Although, it does make you speed up a little bit, oops... I saw these a few years ago too, at the same gig as A Day To Remember, as they were a support act for BMTH. It was an amazing night.

Do you like music like I do? If not, what genre is your favourite?

Valentine's/Mother's Day Lush Mini Haul

Got excited at the box that came with the 'Fresh From The Kitchen' sticker. Thanks, Michelle, for making it! Not sure whether you're a human or a snowman though...
Bubblegrub Bubbleroon £2.95. From the Mother's Day collection.
Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar, From the Valentine's Day range, £3.25.
Dragon's Egg Bath Bomb, £3.35.
Fizzbanger Bath Bomb, £3.35.

This was kind of creepy to see, but I'm guessing that's the guy who made my exclusive product. Thanks!
This is the 'Love Birds' soap that was my exclusive product from the Lush Kitchen. Nabbed it just in time!
Tadaa! As you can see, yet another Lush haul! This is what happens when I have money left over and I sit at home on my days off. I really need more self-restraint. I couldn't resist buying another Unicorn Horn, as they were exclusive for the Valentine's Day range and they are no longer being sold, so I just had to have one last one. Until next year, unicorns! I also ordered a Dragon's Egg bath bomb, as they are my all-time favourite bath bombs. I just adore the sherbet-citrus smell and the colours it makes in the bath... Just the whole thing is a dream and you can't go wrong with a Dragon's Egg! The title of it alone won me over before I even smelt it for the first time. I also brought a Fizzbanger, which I think turns the water yellow then blue as it fizzes away, judging from the demos of it that I've seen on various Instagram pages. I'm expecting good things from this and it smells pretty. It's also quite a citrus smell and it contains petitgrain, which is apparently used in aromatherapy to help reduce anxiety levels, so that should be quite interesting. Will be useful if it does actually make me less stressed!

Now, I'm quite happy with the overall package. I was going to buy more Mother's Day things as they look so pretty, so I might in a week or so. We'll see. However, and it's a big however, there is one product that I would like to have a little ramble about; the Bubblegrub. Yes, it looks cute, yes, it's pretty colours, yes, it's cheaper than a lot of other products... So I'll give it brownie points for all those factors. But, it smells like crap. And trust me, that wasn't the word I used when I smelt it. Nor did my boyfriend or mum, and my dog actually barked at it. It's foul. It's apparently got an earthy smell to it, and it's meant to smell of 'earthy vetivert' (whatever the heck that is) and sandalwood. Now, I can't identify which one I don't like the smell of, but I will not be buying it again. I can't deal with the smell. It's too much. If earthy scents are your kind of thing, then you might enjoy this. But personally, I'd rather go sniff the soil outside, and I've got four dogs...

As you can see, I was lucky enough to manage to get an exclusive product from the Lush Kitchen. I've heard this is quite hard to do, due to die-hard Lushies out there! But nonetheless, I got one. I chose to get the Love Birds soap, as it looks pretty and I wanted to add another soap to my collection. It's meant to smell sherbety, presumably like the Dragon's Egg or something similar, but I can't really smell the scent correctly right now. It's nothing to do with me coming down with a cold and my senses being a bit scattered, but it's because the scent of the Bubblegrub has seeped through and kind of tainted the smell. I'm hoping that once I use it and it comes into contact with water, it'll get rid of the Bubblegrub smell, and smell how it's meant to!

Have you tried any of the above products? What were your thoughts?
