Select Mini Haul.

Oops, I spent some money when I promised myself I wouldn't. Okay, I'll excuse it as a bit of a celebration and well-done-to-me kind of spend for how well I've been doing lately. But the pieces are nice and simple, and I can see myself wearing them all the time, so it's a worthy spend, really. So I only brought four items out of Select, but one of them was for my mum, so I haven't included that in here. Below are the items that I purchased today as a spur of the moment buy.

I apologise for the picture quality - I haven't brought any batteries yet (again!) and I also don't have many places to properly take a photo of something yet as the lighting in the house isn't very good during this time of the day (in England it's already getting dark at 4, so it's a good excuse) so I'm very sorry.

So like I mentioned above, I only brought three things because I wasn't planning on actually buying anything today whilst I was out in tow, but obviously I did. For some reason, I just fell in love with these three tops, because they're so simple and they're going to be so comfortable. The top shirt is a UK size 10, and it's fairly long even though it doesn't look like it is in the picture. It was £13.99 and I brought it because even though I own lots of checked shirts, I don't have a white and black one. I'm also so into the monochrome clothing lately, so this was a winner for me. I can see it being paired with my creepers or my Converses, with a pair of black skinnies, either with the shirt done up on it's own, or wearing it open with a black or white vest underneath for a completely black and white look.

The maroon coloured top in the middle was in the sale rack and it was £4.99, so I couldn't really go wrong with it. I'm one of those people that doesn't really follow fashion trends, I tend to start wearing the clothes when everyone else has moved onto something else, so I never really fit in. It's not intentional, it's just how I roll. I've recently started loving slouchy and comfortable tees, just as raglan t-shirts and like the two featured above. What really done it for me is the detailing on the back, there's a zip that goes about a quarter of the way down the tops. They're pretty much exactly the same top, besides the colour, but the grey one was £6.99 I think, so I'm not sure why one was in the sale and the other wasn't. Maybe people don't like the maroon colour as much as the grey? I don't know, either way, I like it and it's now part of my wardrobe. Wooo. Actually, I think they are slightly different tops, as the grey one feels quite a bit thicker than the maroon one, but that's the only other difference I can see between them.
