L'Oreal Elvive Fibrology.

L'Oreal Elvive Fibrology Thickening Shampoo 400ml £3.99.

L'Oreal Elvive Fibrology Thickening Booster 30ml £5.99.

L'Oreal Elvive Fibrology Thickness Creation Double Creation 2x15ml £6.99.
As I've been accumulating quite a lot of different hair products lately, I thought it was only appropriate to share some of the latest stuff I've been trying with you. I probably should have brought the conditioner to go with these, and the hair masque as well so I have the whole collection, but I was tempted by other things. My bad. I brought these from Boots, and you can click here to view their Fibrology range online. When I brought these in store, they had a 3 for £10 offer on different L'Oreal Elvive products, so I actually got the thickness booster and the thickness creation and an intensive repair hair masque (not shown) for £10, so I saved quite a bit of money. I don't know if this offer is still on in store, but they do currently have some price drops online.

I won't go into massive details for each product, as they're pretty self-explanatory, and you should be able to read what they say on the bottles. The shampoo to start off with really does leave my hair feeling thicker, even straight after I've rinsed it out. Obviously it would work better if I had the conditioner to use afterwards as well, but I am currently using the L'Oreal Elvive Triple Resist Reinforcing Conditioner (click here) as I like to mix things up a bit. It contains filloxane, which penetrates deep within the hair and this helps to expand the diameter of each individual hair, giving it a thicker look. This ingredient stays in the hair for a long period of time, so it keeps hair looking thicker for quite a while.

The thickening booster serum is a little weird for me, in all honesty. I haven't yet decided if I'd buy it again and let me explain why. It says that you're supposed to use the same amount of this serum of conditioner that you intend to use, but both at the same time. I don't do this. This is because I'm just so tight-fisted with money, so I use it like it's sacred. This said, I do use enough to cover all my hair with it, but there just isn't a lot of product for your money I don't feel. However, I have noticed that using this has helped my hair look and feel thicker, so it's doing its job and I can't complain too much. It also has a really clean, pleasant smell to it that remains on my hair even after I've used it. This is intended to be used at the same time as your conditioner, so you put this on first, then put your conditioner on as usual without rinsing the thickening booster out beforehand.

After I've rinsed out the booster and my conditioner, I then apply the hair masque that I have, blah blah blah. You get the drill. Leave it a little while, rinse out after 5-10 minutes, get out, dry myself, do whatever else.

After I've let my hair dry a little bit so it's damp and not soaking anything around me, I'll then apply some of the thickness creation double serum. As you can see on the bottle/box, the pink liquid is what thickens the hairs, and the white liquid works with it to smooth out the surface of your hair, which is an added bonus. The pump on top of the bottle ensures that you get an equal pump of both liquids at the same time. All I do is mix it together by rubbing my hands together to spread the serum about, then I apply it all over my hair by gently rubbing my hair so that it gets all my hair. This serum is one that you can apply to damp or dry hair, and it's recommended to be used daily to help ensure your hair looks thicker and smoother.

As a side note, all of these products say that they contain filloxane, like I mentioned. Although, I've looked at the list of ingredients and I can't see it stated... Am I just being blind or is it a shortened version of the ingredients?

Have you tried these products? If so, what did you think?

It's no secret that there's a lot of people that are currently into wearing chokers, or wearing stones/crystals that have been put into jewellery. A lot of people believe and swear by the healing qualities and energies of these stones, although I have never experienced these (probably because I don't actually own any) so I'm quite willing to try them. Even if they don't work for me, they're pretty too so it's a win situation regardless. All of the above images are currently strong contenders to be the first one I purchase. But I don't need to explain how gorgeous they are, just look at them!

I recently stumbled across a new jewellery website through Instagram, called Dreamer Jewellery. Fair to say, I have fallen in love with all of their stuff. Click on their name to go see for yourselves, They're affordable, have great quality looking products, and I genuinely aim to buy something from them at some point in the very near future!

What do you think? Are you into the stone/crystal jewellery craze?

You Can Run But You'll Never Escape

I haven't posted a Sunday Summary yet, I am sorry to the readers that I have, but I didn't really do a lot last week so I'm going to merge both weeks together. I'm currently picking up some cover work, so more days at work for me, therefore less to really write about as I'm sure you don't want to know all the nitty-gritty details of my days haha.

I wanted to share some music with you, as I haven't done it yet. I've been listening to two of my favourite albums from quite a while ago lately, and they've definitely been the only thing I've been listening to. The first is the album Homesick by A Day To Remember. I saw these guys live a few years ago, and they were amazing. If you're into heavier-rock pop/punk music with a dash of screamo, these guys are amazing. They're not heavy in my opinion, but it just depends on how you'd class it.

The second is the album Sempiternal by Bring Me The Horizon. I fell in love with this album as soon as I first heard it when it was released. I hadn't listened to any of their music for a while, but oh, how I have missed it. I don't know exactly what it is about this album, but I'm in love with it. It's particularly good to drive to. Although, it does make you speed up a little bit, oops... I saw these a few years ago too, at the same gig as A Day To Remember, as they were a support act for BMTH. It was an amazing night.

Do you like music like I do? If not, what genre is your favourite?

Valentine's/Mother's Day Lush Mini Haul

Got excited at the box that came with the 'Fresh From The Kitchen' sticker. Thanks, Michelle, for making it! Not sure whether you're a human or a snowman though...
Bubblegrub Bubbleroon £2.95. From the Mother's Day collection.
Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar, From the Valentine's Day range, £3.25.
Dragon's Egg Bath Bomb, £3.35.
Fizzbanger Bath Bomb, £3.35.

This was kind of creepy to see, but I'm guessing that's the guy who made my exclusive product. Thanks!
This is the 'Love Birds' soap that was my exclusive product from the Lush Kitchen. Nabbed it just in time!
Tadaa! As you can see, yet another Lush haul! This is what happens when I have money left over and I sit at home on my days off. I really need more self-restraint. I couldn't resist buying another Unicorn Horn, as they were exclusive for the Valentine's Day range and they are no longer being sold, so I just had to have one last one. Until next year, unicorns! I also ordered a Dragon's Egg bath bomb, as they are my all-time favourite bath bombs. I just adore the sherbet-citrus smell and the colours it makes in the bath... Just the whole thing is a dream and you can't go wrong with a Dragon's Egg! The title of it alone won me over before I even smelt it for the first time. I also brought a Fizzbanger, which I think turns the water yellow then blue as it fizzes away, judging from the demos of it that I've seen on various Instagram pages. I'm expecting good things from this and it smells pretty. It's also quite a citrus smell and it contains petitgrain, which is apparently used in aromatherapy to help reduce anxiety levels, so that should be quite interesting. Will be useful if it does actually make me less stressed!

Now, I'm quite happy with the overall package. I was going to buy more Mother's Day things as they look so pretty, so I might in a week or so. We'll see. However, and it's a big however, there is one product that I would like to have a little ramble about; the Bubblegrub. Yes, it looks cute, yes, it's pretty colours, yes, it's cheaper than a lot of other products... So I'll give it brownie points for all those factors. But, it smells like crap. And trust me, that wasn't the word I used when I smelt it. Nor did my boyfriend or mum, and my dog actually barked at it. It's foul. It's apparently got an earthy smell to it, and it's meant to smell of 'earthy vetivert' (whatever the heck that is) and sandalwood. Now, I can't identify which one I don't like the smell of, but I will not be buying it again. I can't deal with the smell. It's too much. If earthy scents are your kind of thing, then you might enjoy this. But personally, I'd rather go sniff the soil outside, and I've got four dogs...

As you can see, I was lucky enough to manage to get an exclusive product from the Lush Kitchen. I've heard this is quite hard to do, due to die-hard Lushies out there! But nonetheless, I got one. I chose to get the Love Birds soap, as it looks pretty and I wanted to add another soap to my collection. It's meant to smell sherbety, presumably like the Dragon's Egg or something similar, but I can't really smell the scent correctly right now. It's nothing to do with me coming down with a cold and my senses being a bit scattered, but it's because the scent of the Bubblegrub has seeped through and kind of tainted the smell. I'm hoping that once I use it and it comes into contact with water, it'll get rid of the Bubblegrub smell, and smell how it's meant to!

Have you tried any of the above products? What were your thoughts?

Weekly Want; Boohoo Boots.

This week, I've been drooling over the boots over at They're gorgeous, and I'm definitely eyeing a few pairs up! I'm only recently starting to venture out of my comfort zone, and as it's taken 20 years so far to even think about wearing anything that isn't a flat shoe, this is a massive deal for me. Here are the ones that have taken my fancy... You will certainly notice a similarity between all of them!

They are all black, all come roughly to the ankle in an ankle boot style, all affordable, and all gorgeous. I just love them all and can't decide which pair to buy if I do buy any. I think out of the four, for my first pair out of them, I'd probably go for... The third picture ones, the Peggy Suedette ones. I think they're the ones that have won me over the most!

Have you brought any of the above or something similar? What are your thoughts on these styles and designs?

The Body Shop Strawberry Set.

If you follow me on Instagram (@nnnicoleb, little bit of self-promotion there!) or if you've been reading my Sunday Summaries, you'll see that I recently managed to pick up this gift set for cheap. On a Facebook selling group, someone has resigned as a representative for The Body Shop, and this was part of her set apparently, so she sold it for £10 (I think) and I managed to nab it before anyone else. From the front of the box, this is obviously a Christmas gift set, but you can see that the following set below is almost identical;
The only difference is, the shape of the toilette spray. You can buy this gift set from The Body Shop here. It's worth £28 if you buy it in store or off the website and it comes with:
  • Strawberry Body Butter 200ml
  • Strawberry Body Polish 200ml
  • Strawberry Eau de Toilette 30ml
  • Strawberry Lip Butter 10ml
  • Red Mini Bath Lily.
All of the contents smell absolutely gorgeous, obviously of strawberry, but it's not too overpowering and it's just a really lovely, sweet and refreshing smell. The body butter is just divine and I'd been aiming to buy one for quite a while, but it's usually sold individually for £13, which I couldn't justify buying seeming as I had dupes of it for a lot cheaper. But every product in this gift set is just beyond amazing to use. The lip butter certainly does help my lips, I usually put this on my lips before I go to sleep so it has time to sink in and just moisturise away. The 'bath lily', which I call a loofer (I don't know why, is this another name for it somewhere?), just exfoliates my skin so well and it just makes me feel extra clean after I've used this. Combined with the body polish, it really does work wonders. Followed by the body butter, which sinks into the skin super quick and leaves you feeling soft and like you're turning into a human-sized strawberry, you really cannot go wrong with this gift set. The body mist I was a bit skeptical of at first as body mists tend to lose their fragrance quite quickly from my experiences, however, this keeps its smell all day and it's actually really pleasant to catch a random whiff of as you're going about your day. I've actually stopped using perfume and just rely on this currently, so that's speaking volumes people! Overall, I can't fault this gift set, and it works out quite a bit cheaper buying these products in the set, rather than buying them individually. It's definitely swayed me to buy more Body Shop items in the future!

Have you tried any of these products or something similar? What were your thoughts?

Sony Xperia Z3 Compact & Head Case.

I've been wanting to write a post about my new phone for quite a while now, so here's the post finally! I upgraded my phone with Carphone Warehouse a little while back and my phone before this was the Sony Xperia T, which I haven't seen in many places for a long while now. I got this phone over two years ago and it was my first move to using a Sony phone. I've played PlayStations in the past and absolutely adored them, so I was interested to see whether their phones were as reliable as my beloved childhood games console. Believe me when I say I was pleasantly surprised. and I would never go back to having any other make of phone as my everyday phone. Never. Even though my Xperia T is now between 2-3 years old and has been through many falls and drops from various heights, it still works perfectly fine and I can always rely on it as a backup from if - touch wood it doesn't - my Z3 goes wrong. But before I gush too much about my undying love for it, let me try to win you over with some facts and info' about the phone.

  • It has a 20.7 megapixel camera, so it's perfect for people that, like myself, love taking pictures of everything wherever they go. It also has a 2.2 megapixel front camera, which is amazing quality for a front camera, speaking from my own experience.
  • It can also film 4K videos with the Steady Shot feature. (I don't know what 4K is, I'm not experienced in that part of life yet, sorry!)
  • It looks beautiful. I mean, have you seen the picture above? It's so sleek and shiny, it's thin, and it doesn't have any silly looking decoration on it. It's just straight to business.
  • It comes in black, white, red and a sea foam blue/green colour.
  • It's waterproof, and can apparently survive up to 30 minutes in up to 2 metres of water. That's pretty phenomenal.
  • 2.5GHz quad core Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 801 processor. No idea whether that's good or bad due to my lack of knowledge on this stuff, but the phone's amazing if that counts for anything.
  • Up to 14 hours of talk time.
  • 4.6" screen from corner to corner diagonally.
  • Easy to use, thin, and pops easily into your pocket or bag.
Before I waffle on too much, here's the link to the Carphone Warehouse site, if you want to read more technical stuff. I just love this phone so much, I can't fault it. It's honestly the best phone I have ever used and it easily rivals other phones currently on the market. It's perfection to me. I can't recommend it enough.
With my last phone, the Xperia T, I had quite a bit of trouble finding decent phone cases for it. So I thought it would be the same this time round with the Z3 Compact. But I was wrong. I found all four of the amazing phone cases above from a seller on eBay, under the name of head_case_designs. You can find them using this link here. They sell phone cases of amazing quality and so many different designs for a large variety of different phones. I originally intended to only buy one phone case, but then I saw all of them and had spent hours just looking and ended up buying the above four, all in my first order. When I ordered, they had a deal on where you could buy one and get another half price, hence why I got four, haha. I'm not sure whether the deal was just on as part of a 'January Sales' kind of thing, but either way, they're reasonably priced nonetheless. The shipping time was super quick, and I have yet to find any fault with them. The picture I've taken doesn't do them justice at all. The colours are so much more vivid in person!
Have you had any experiences with the Sony Xperia Z3, or this brand? What do you think?

Sunday Summary Week 2.

1 - Saw some pretty dalmatian print fish.
2 -  Saw 'horny goat weed' being sold in Holland and Barrett. What even is that?
3 - Probably spent more money than I needed on yet again, more bath/shower stuff.
4 - 50 Shades of me, haha.
5 - Another selfie of me at work in the snake room.
6 - Joined the hype and started watching AHS: Murder House.

Yes, I'm actually writing this Sunday Summary on a Sunday! This week hasn't been overly exciting, as I've had most of the week off free from work, and as I've been working a lot lately, I felt really out of sync with life and just aimlessly floated around the house. I was at work on Monday, Friday and today, and the rest of the days I just chilled basically. On my days off, I just watched American Horror Story when my boyfriend was out and it's just... Blowing my mind. I think I'm finally getting to grips with it, it's quite good. It's weird, but it's my sort of thing. Definitely glad I began watching it.

Of course, this week it's been Friday the 13th and it's been Valentine's Day. My 13th was quite good actually, even though I did wake up with a heightened sense of foreboding (if that's the word I'm looking for). I got to work early, and had a fairly relaxed day with no dramas; always an added bonus. I also ordered pizza and it came earlier than expected and it was cheaper than usual! Can't complain.

Valentine's Day was alright, Danny and I don't really celebrate it as we both feel you should show appreciation for your partner all the time, regardless of the day. So I went into town and met up with Isla - who I haven't seen in waaay too long - and done some shopping. I brought some oil and things for my car, some toiletries, spent my New Look voucher on some black skinnies and socks (can't go wrong with those) and I brought some hair products, and a Nip&Fab eye cream/concealer (post coming soon). We then went to an aquatics place afterwards and saw some pretty fish and a couple of lizards, including a panther chameleon that I fell in love with and just wanted to bring home! :( I had work today, which is always a laugh with Anjela and Sarah on a Sunday, so that was okay. That's all really for this week, I don't lead an exciting life currently. I am trying to get out more, but... I'm just too much of an introvert and social recluse. Maybe some day.

Did you have a good week? Did you have a good Friday 13th/Valentine's Day?

Weekly Want; Nebula Necklaces.

This week I've really been looking at nebula/galaxy print jewelry as I'm definitely going through a phase of adoring anything with a galaxy print on it. Take that as a warning, there will be more posts like this for sure in the 'want' department. These prints are just too cute and I want them all.

In particular, I was searching on as I love, love, love the site as you can find so many unique and handmade things for a really reasonable price. For me, the only problem is the shipping fee, as I'm in the UK and most of the items that catch my eye are in the US, so the shipment fees are almost as expensive as the item itself. But, if needs must...

All images above belong to RainforestNecklaces. See link just below.

These ones in particular caught my eye. I just love the colours in the nebulas as think they look amazing. They're from a seller on Etsy RainforestNecklaces (click to visit their page!) and they make lots of handmade pendants, including these ones and many other amazing designs. The three above all cost £9.75 and the seller is in the US (sigh) and altogether for one, it would cost £16.14. It goes up more obviously if you buy more than one, but the postage hardly goes up, so if you're interested, it would probably be best to buy more than one at a time. The seller lists the information below each product, and I'd definitely recommend checking their pendants out as they're all beautiful and different. I am so tempted to buy one right now, but I'll resist for a little while...

Sunday Summary Week 1.

I said on Sunday that I would post this, but then I got way too distracted and started procrastinating, and then all of a sudden it was Tuesday and I hadn't posted. My bad, I'm awful. But here are the photos from this week.

1.) Had a day where I liked my face and hair.
2.)  Got Yoda the yemen chameleon out at work.
3.) Ordered some phone cases for my new phone.
4.) Used some of the Lonely Hearts bubble bar from Lush.
5.) Got bored of my hair and just slapped purple hair dye all over it.
6.) Selfie with Pumpkin the pirate cat at work.
7.) Got a gift set from The Body Shop for cheap.

It wasn't a particularly thrilling week in all honesty, and now I'm back to normal work wise, so I'll have more time to post as I've got more days off. I have got a post coming up about the phone cases and my phone itself, where I'll explain where you can get some bloody brilliant cases from. I also have a post coming up about the items from The Body Shop, which will explain the products and how I came to buy it cheap.

As you can see, I dyed my hair during the week. I got bored of the blonde bits and my faded out colour and I'm awful when it comes to hair colour because I just get bored so quickly. It's lasting pretty well due to dry shampoo and washing with cool water, so it should be here for a while. I also went over Anjela's and we had a thrilling time drinking tea, eating chocolate and watching Eastenders related things. It was pretty awesome if I do say so myself, even if driving to hers was pretty scary as I'd never been to the village before, haha.

Wednesday Wants: Colourful Hair.

As I have been struggling for different ideas on what to post lately, I had a little brainstorming session and I took some time out to look at some other blogs and see what types of posts that they done regularly. I've decided to start doing some 'Wednesday Wants', which is basically where I'll post a few different things that I've seen recently that are on my 'want' list. These will be on Wednesdays, as they both begin with W, so why not. I'm also going to be doing 'Sunday Summaries', where I'll basically sum up my week and talk about what I did. Pretty self explanatory. I'm currently trying to think of anything new to post. 'Manic Monday' is on the cards, where I might post about weird, wonderful and colourful things that have caught my attention. But I don't know yet.

For this first ever Wednesday Want post, I'm just going to post some pictures of hair which have really caught my attention lately. I love dying my hair and having bright colours and standing out... And all I want to do right now is dye my hair!

Aren't they gorgeous?! One day. Maybe soon...Ugh, I don't know. I just want them all. Think I need to buy wigs and change as I want to wear them! None of these photos are mine, they are from Pinterest, so copyright to whoever's these are.

Valentine's Day Lush Products.

It's been a little while since I last posted, not as often as I would like to have posted. But, I have been planning posts for what to do, so hopefully this will pick up soon. All shall be revealed in the next couple of posts (if the four of you little followers are reading!).

As I'm still quite new to Lush products and I'm really getting into them now, I had to order some limited edition Valentine's Day products. I done this online as I wasn't going to get time to go in store and grab some before the end of the month, so I ensured I got some! Almost every blogger I follow has mentioned or posted about these this year, and I can see why. They're definitely a good range if you like pinks, reds and glittery stuff! Here's what I grabbed.

If you're a Lush lover, you'll already know what the products are. If not, here's the list and a brief summary (click on the name to go to the Lush website and read more);

1 - Prince Charming shower gel - hopefully the picture is clear enough for you to be able to read what's on the label. This pink shower gel contains marshmallow root, pomegranate juice and vanilla, which makes for an interesting smell. I thought it would smell sweet and quite fruity due to the pomegranate, but I can't really smell it all that much. It definitely smells sweet, but I think the vanilla slightly counteracts the fruitiness of the fragrance. It looks like it has the slightest shimmer to the gel, which is nice and it does smell quite nice. I brought it in the 100ml bottle just in case I didn't like it, and this cost £4.75. Quite a lot for such a small product, but you get the product that you pay for and I can't complain at all about the ethics of Lush, so I'm happy paying this.

2 - Cupid's Love soap - I thought this was adorable because of the white heart detail inside the soap, which is what sold it for me. Again, I brought it because it was said to have a fruity fragrance, but I don't feel this is the case. I'm not very fond of the scent of this if I'm entirely honest. It contains bergamot, rosewood, figs, passion fruit and soya yoghurt, so I thought the smells was going to be slightly creamy, fruity and sweet. I guess it is, it's not entirely bad, but I just don't like the smell of the figs. They really stand out for me. I think something like strawberry or raspberry would have been better to use for this and for the holiday that it relates to. Regardless, I'll use it. I just probably wouldn't buy it again. I brought this in a 100g chunk for £4.25.

3 - Unicorn Horn bubble bar - If anyone can resist buying this, then I bow down to you and demand lessons on self-restraint. How could you not want to buy this?! The name itself makes me want to buy it, let alone how it looks, how it smells, or what it does! It looks magical. This is the infamous unicorn horn, and yes, I have been putting it to my head to pretend to be a unicorn. #theydoexist. It contains lavender and neroli, but I have no idea what neroli smells like or what it does. To me, this smells exactly like the Dragon's Egg bath bomb, which is my absolute favourite product, so this is a total winner to me. It looks gorgeous and colourful, and it was £3.25!

4 - Lonely Hearts bubble bar - I brought this as it was a toss up between this and their Heart Throb bubble bar... But this one had glitter, so I went for this one as it looked more exciting. It contains lemongrass, ylang-ylang, bergamot and jasmine, so it smells pretty floral and nice. Almost a powdery scent that you'd expect on a talcum powder. It's not to strong and it should colour the bath red and leave some shimmer in the bath, without making it look like I'm bathing in solid glitter. I look forwards to using this and based on the smell and look alone, I would buy this again next year if they brought it out again. This one was £3.50.

Have you tried any of the Valentine's Day products from Lush yet? Let me know in the comments below!
