Day Trip To London

I mentioned a little while ago that I was going to be taking a day trip to London and to just have a little wander around and see what was there. I took a few photos that day, so this post is going to be rather photo-orientated in comparison to my other posts. My friend Anjela and myself decided to check out Oxford Street and have a look around there (I wanted to go to the new Lush store!) and just have a relaxing day out. Be prepared for some quite standard tourist-esque pictures! I also apologise in advance for the noisy pictures - it's been a while since I took my camera out and about around other people and I panicked a little.

When we first arrived in London, we arrived at London Kings Cross station as we went by train as it was the quickest means of travel for us. We grabbed something to eat (found some gorgeous cheese and tomato baguettes from inside the station, yum!) and then tried to find a bus to get. However, we got a little bit confused with trying to find the right stop, so we ended up going across to St Pancras (I always say St 'Pancreas' as a little fun fact for you) and we ended up getting the Underground train to Oxford Circus.

After we arrived at our stop, we found our way back to the surface and went to stretch our legs and get a good look at our surroundings. Luckily the weather was really nice on the day that we went, so we managed to walk around comfortably all day. We had a quick Costa stop to grab a drink before we tackled some of the shops. Even though it was classed as a shopping day, we only purchased things from Lush, Primark and H&M, I believe. The amount of shops there was overwhelming and if we hadn't have restrained ourselves, there would have been a lot of damage to our bank accounts!

I had to take pictures of our food when we stopped, because, well, who doesn't like food? Anjela got some chicken noodles with vegetables I believe, whilst I brought hot dog and chips. But what I liked about this is that they served the hot dog in a toasted burger bun. We went to a place called 'Giraffe Stop' inside the train station as the name was too awesome not to stop, and we were also waiting for our train home. I purchased quite a bit from the Lush store, which I have coming up in a post for you very shortly. In all honesty though, it was great to have a day out and go somewhere I haven't been for a long time and to just have a laugh with a great friend. It took my mind off of a lot of things, which leads me on to a well-needed apology. I apologise that I haven't blogged much lately, I've been super stressed out with personal problems and it's been sucking the life out of me for the past month. But I'm desperately trying to keep on top of things to put more up for you guys. Thanks for sticking around!
