Day Out at Colchester Zoo

I love writing about beauty related things, don't get me wrong, but I also thought it was about time that I bring you some more lifestyle related posts. I don't get out very often (and when I do, I usually forget to take any photos) but this time, I have a little bit of content to share with you from a recent day out. Over the weekend, my boyfriend, my brother, and myself all went to Colchester Zoo as I have been wanting to take my brother there for so long. I intended to do it over the summer last year, but never actually got round to doing it. So whilst he was on half-term and I happened to have the day off, I seized the chance to take him.  Let the brief information and heavy-animal-photos content commence.

This is going to be a very photo-heavy post, so if that isn't what you're in to, then this probably isn't the post for you. But let's face it, what kind of person doesn't like photos of awesome animals? Some information about Colchester Zoo shall be at the bottom of the post if you are interested in learning more, as this isn't a promotional post, nor is it written for money purposes; I simply wanted to show you some photos from a day out. Enjoy!

So there's a few photos for you to glance at from our little venture away from the house. I did take many more, but it's nice to keep a few photos back for your own privacy. If anyone is interested in the little outfit peak in the last photo, I was wearing a jacket from Olive and Frank, a black pair of skinny jeans from New Look, a knitted top from Drop Dead, and a pair of Converses (this is usually my typical kind of outfit).

As for the zoo itself, the location is pretty self-explanatory, and if you're driving, a sat nav would be very useful but the address is very easy to find. Their website is http://www.colchester-zoo.com/ if anyone would like to find out the address, prices, attractions, animals, experiences, and so on. This is a place that I have been to many times over the last couple of years, and it is a day out that I would highly recommend for anyone. No matter what the weather or the time of year, there is always something to be done and seen in this place. I'm all for animal welfare, and I know that may seem strange to say if I'm visiting zoos, but this is one of the best zoos that I have ever been to and they do some fantastic work towards animal welfare.

Hope you enjoyed the pictures!
